Stuttering Tests

The Panhellenic Association of Speech-Language Pathologists (PAS) and the Association of Registered Speech-Language Pathologists of Cyprus (SSP) make available on their websites the Communication Attitude Test of Preschool and Kindergarten Children who Stutter (KiddyCAT) and the Communication Attitude Test (CAT). The KiddyCAT and CAT tests are widely used by clinicians around the world to investigate the communication attitudes of preschool and school-age children who stutter, respectively. They are the first standardized tests for stuttering in the Greek language.

The adaptation and standardization of the KiddyCAT and CAT tests in the Greek language is the result of many years of voluntary work by the Greek Stuttering Research Group.
The Greek Stuttering Research Group consists of the following members:

Marousos Dimitris, Speech & Communication Therapist, Speech Therapist – Fluency Disorder Specialist, EY LEGEN Speech Center.

Dourou Katerina, Speech Pathologist, Assistant Professor, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, USA.

Paphiti Maria, Speech Pathologist – Fluency Disorder Specialist, Nicosia, Associate Professor, University of Turku.

Fourlas Giorgos, Speech & Communication Therapist, Fluency Disorder Specialist, Stuttering Research and Treatment Center, Lecturer at the European Clinical Specialization in Fluency Disorders (ECSF), Thomas More University.

The tests are provided freely for use by Greek and Cypriot clinicians with the kind permission of distribution rights from Professor of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Central Florida, Dr. Martine Vanryckeghem, to the PSL and SYEL associations.
