“From Hearing to Communication”
As every year, our Association is organizing events for the established European Day of Speech and Language Therapy on March 6, as recognized by CPLOL. Since March 6 coincides with Carnival Sunday this year, the events will take place on Saturday, March 5.
This year’s European Day of Speech and Language Therapy focuses on hearing and hearing problems, with the slogan: “From Hearing to Communication.”
Our Association will organize a series of events in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paralimni, and Paphos on March 5, 2010, as well as a lecture on Monday, March 21, 2011, on the topic: “Hearing Loss: The Insidious Enemy of a Vital Sense – Impact and Quality of Life.” The lecture will take place at the Cultural Center of the European University Cyprus at 7:00 pm, with speakers Dr. Kakia Petinou, Dr. Chrysoúla Thodi, and Mrs. Marina Kalimahou.
The events are held under the auspices of the Ministries of Health and Education and Culture.
